Sharper coming to Seattle!
Perfectly filling the slow news day of a Mariners' (incredibly odd) off-day, the Seahawks have wrapped up linebacker Jamie Sharper for 5 years, 17.5 million. He has been fantastic in Houston and can play either middle or outside for us. Though he'll be 34 entering the final year of the contract, it is well worth extending it 5 years if thats what it took to get him. Who knows, he may still be productive in 5 years. Or we Anthony Simmons him.

Sharper kicks ass.
In non-Sharper news, it will take "from 1 to 48 hours" (direct quote from the good folks at Yahoo!) for the Steaming Pile League draft to occur from the time I hit the Everybody Is Ready, Now Computer Do Your Thing button. So we might not get credit for Wednesday's performances from our players. The League should start by Thursday though.
I put Matheny and Ausmus as my second and third highest rated players, hoping to monopolize the catcher position. Hopefully it pans out.

i lucked out with matheny! unfortunately, he and a few other of my players are absolutely crushing the ball right now (vizquel, d. miller, b. roberts, d. menkeiwafdpjtz)
