The second-biggest day of stuffing ones stomach has come and gone, and all I can say is, "meh." It was a close game all the way, as the score at the end of each quarter shows: 0-0, 7-7, 14-14, 24-21. There were some exciting plays - TO made some great runs and catches, the TD pass that somehow got to Westbrook, Corey Dillon's fantastic 27 yard run down to the 7, the 40 yard grab by Pinkston, etc, along with plenty of hard hits. Despite all this, it was a pretty uninteresting game. Because Donovan played so terribly, even though there was much to be excited about, it did not feel like watching a super bowl. The Eagles were clearly not at their best, all because of Donovan. He put up ugly throw after ugly throw, and yet the Patriots couldn't put them away. This made it feel like a regular, early season game.

Oh well. The season is over. Sunday's are now free for reading poetry, picking berries, and working in the garden. Or playing Madden.
